  GRAND OPENINGCELEBRATION!!!

The Grand Opening Celebration held on September 14th was a HUGE success with over 300 in attendance.

Honourable DAVID CAPLAN, Minister of Health and Long Term Care & John Wilkinson MPP were among special guests. The official ribbon cutting following speeches was done by attending dignitaries.

It was a great day that not only signified the new beginning for Knollcrest, but the end to a very successful fundraising campaign.

A beautiful donation board was unveiled and honours the many individuals, groups and businesses that helped contribute to the Renewal of Knollcrest Campaign and its success.  Since 2002, over $700,000 has been raised locally for this initiative.

Another honourable mention goes to the numerous volunteers and staff that contributed thousands of hours throughout the campaign through different fundraising events and efforts.

We say "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you"!

Following the tours of the facility, many complements could be heard.  Entertainment was at three different locations within the facility where visitors would stop and linger, enjoying the music.

The Board of Director and Susan Rae, Administrator of Knollcrest send their sincere "Thank You" to this community, EVERY...  donor,  volunteer, staff person, resident and their family members.  The result has been a beautiful new home for our residents, however, we acknowledge the constant moves and changes that the last two years have had.  We are extremely proud of the manner in which these individuals adapted to a changing environment, sometimes on a daily basis.  They have been simply amazing people to work with.
